Transfer "favorites" from 765t to 3590LMT

I want to copy my favorites from my 765t, to my 3590LMT GPS. Doing it the conventional way, by copying it from the old unit to the new unit, and renaming it from current.gpx to temp.gpx did not work. Also, not renaming it did not work either. At any rate, my favorites do not show on the new GPS. Anybody know what I need to do? Thanky!

When you say it did not work, you are saying that there was nothing in Favorites on the 3590 - is that right?

Connect the GPS to computer and using either MapSource or BaseCamp use the transfer method . MapSource click on transfer top left. BaseCamp click on device top left. Receive from old device and send back to new device(GPS).

That is correct, I still wound up with nothing but the default favorites still in my 3590. Copying my current.gpx from the 765t, to the 3590, and renaming it to temp.gpx did not work.
Unless you are the lead sled dog, the view never changes. I is retard... every day is Saturday! I still use the Garmin 3590 LMT even tho I upgraded to the Garmin 61 LMT. Bigger screen is not always better in my opinion.

What that says is that you should not be able to do the same thing with Garmin products.
Wild guessing now - do you have double extensions?
Garmin Express
You can also use Garmin Express to transfer favorites from one unit to another, connect your 765T to your computer, open GE, click Device on top, scroll down, Back Up your favorites, disconnect 765T, connect 3590LMT, then use Transfer Saved Places.

Using Basecamp was the trick. I should have thought of that eventually because I have used it before. I still do not know why the conventional way of doing it, by renaming current.gps to temp.gpx did not work. I again read that that would be the solution, but alas, no, it did not work. Basecamp to the rescue it was. So, thanks for the help, in steering me to use bAsecamp. That fixed it!
