Welcome to The Factory.
Garmin sells topo maps that can be used with our nuvis but there are also great free topo maps on the web:

Unlike City Navigator (your current nuvi map), topo maps are not routable or searchable. When using an alternate map like this, you may need to and probably should uncheck City Navigator and check the topo map--then do the reverse to revert to City Nav.
