Anybody asked Google Earth to correct an error?

A cousin is moving to a new address. Tried to find it on Google Earth. It shows the road but with incorrect spelling so nobody could search and find the location.

Garmin would not be able to find it either, except by lat/long.

Google Maps

On Google Maps, bottom left in small text click on "report a problem" and give the details. I've used it a couple of times and it's usually resolved in a few days.

I have reported

I reported a drive way that was marked as a road and it was corrected in a few days.

Report a problem

I've done that twice, but it has never been changed.

That's what I would have thought.

I would think that too. Having so much to cover, I'd think Google would be slow to roll out changes/corrections.

Google Maps

Google promptly fixed two map errors that I reported. Then I reported that the Walmart was on the wrong street, and that street did not connect to WM parking lot. Google replied that Walmart supplied the location & WM would need to OK the change. A year later, the store location was corrected but the WM Pharmacy was still at wrong location. Just now I checked. The pharmacy is correct, but the RedBox is still on wrong street.

For the two corrections I submitted, it was easy for me to prove with Google's own data. One was an incorrect spelling for a restaurant (StreetView clearly showed the restaurant's sign with correct spelling). The other, satellite view clearly showed fences that blocked automobiles. That was a surprise driving a moving van having to turn around.

It was on their satellite view

My changes had to do with a relatively new baseball field and a dogpark. You could see both with the satellite view.

I've submitted corrections

I've submitted corrections several times and within 1 month Google got back to me with the update.

Correction Submitted and Map Changed

I submitted a change to the name of a local road a year ago. The name was misspelled. Sometime between then and now it was corrected. It was a county road and not frequently traveled, but it's now correct.

Street view

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll try Streetview since their own photo would seem to be enough proof .

Try again

I just now submitted, for the third time this year, a new location. (Third time for the same location)

Let's see if it works this time.

I tried for the third time to add a location to Google maps about 2 months ago. Still no action. IS THERE ANYONE BACK THERE!!!

Google Earth

I found a bug that caused Google Earth to crash on both Windows and Mac systems. Took a while to find the correct place to report that bug. I assume the next release of the software will fix it.
