is there any hack availible for Nuvi 200W?

hello all
I just still have this question.
I have Nuvi 200W with main board S4 with firmware 7.60 map version 2014.10.
I want to know if there is any hack for nuvi 200W to enable junction view, highway mode, lane guide and TTS functions, or even just TTS which speaks street names will be great. But if I install 205W firmware will I brick my nuvi?
Please let me know.

Thanks

.

There's no "hack".

If anything

If anything can be done to your Nuvi 200, and I don't think there is, you may want to have a look at www.gpspassion.com where there has been a fair amount of work done by members in altering the feature set on various Nuvi models.

And if you attempt to

And if you attempt to install 205W firmware on a 200W you will brick the GPS. Unlike the 1300, where such modifications are possible due to there being foreign variants of the 1300 with those features, foreign 200W devices - if such devices exist - were identical to their US counterparts.

The only modification I know of is editing an English keyboard file for the 200W to make it closer to a QWERTY keyboard.

Thanks guise for good

Thanks guise for good info.
But I really can't find the info about doing this.
So I can't hack my nuvi at all?
I already have some TTS file, including Samantha and Jack English American voices.
Is there any way I can do with these files?

No.

No. The Nuvi 200 is the low end of the long discontinued 2xx models and never supported TTS voices. Attempting to put firmware from some other Nuvi model on your 200 will result in you owning a Garmin Nuvi "brick".

The reason you're not

The reason you're not finding such information, except for the keyboard hack, is because such information does not exist. On top of that, the features you wanted, except text to speech, were never available for the 2xx devices. Text to speech was available on the 260 and 270 (?), but the hardware in those two devices is sufficiently different that trying to install their firmware on your device will brick it.

If you want these features, the advanced line for 2013 will have them. If you're looking to save money a 1350 and up will also do the job.

Thanks guise for good info.
I will give up as long as I know I can't hack anything on my nuvi, I will buy another newest nuvi later.
