Garmin is directly selling both new and refurb GPS units on eBay now

Wow that's great, there are some great prices there. Too bad they don't ship outside of the US.

$177 for the 3790LMT is a good deal. Best Garmin unit. I only wish it was an 8 inch.

Best unit of the 2010 models but with only a 4" screen you'd need 2 of them to get your wish for an 8" screen.

Garmin is doing the old 'Carvel' move, that is, directly competing with their own 'protected' vendors by retailing new Garmin PNDs at the same or lower prices. If I were a vendor I would be rather upset.

On the other hand, increasingly some retailers, notably Radio Shack and Staples, either do not carry PNDs anymore or have minimal shelf space, in favor of smart phones. Garmin's move will just hasten the process.

I have one and it is the best Garmin unit by far of all that I have owned. The price is good but got my 3790LMT refurb from Wal-Mart back in April for around $150.

It was in a white box but everything in the box including the GPS unit itself was all brand new. I think that a lot of manufacturers including netgear dump excess new inventory by marking it as a refurb to keep from irritating their retailers.

I'd NEVER get a Garmin refurb unless I planned on buying a new battery for it & figured that into the cost.

Both my recalled 765T and my warranty repaired 295W came back to me as refurbs, with absolutely JUNK batteries. Wouldn't have minded so much if the ones I sent didn't hold at least twice the charge time as the ones recieved. Heck, my original 200W STILL has a battery that outlasts the other two.

Android for me going forward. And CoPilot.

That's a great deal. Bought a couple for the kids for Christmas last year at $119.00. That's almost 40% off. Wow.

At $70, I'd have seriously considered an upgrade. At $111, I'll pass. Wish I found your post sooner...

Garmin selling a 1450 refurb for $125. I paid $78 in November for mine.

Does Not Ship To Canada. That sucks. Oh well, it's cheaper at Costco.ca anyways.
