Nuvi 2555ltm map update fail!

Ran the Garmin express last night to up date map.
Fail.. this morning there are no maps loaded. Also will not load any maps from Garmin express . What happened?
Transfer the back up file but still nothing.
Any suggestions?

use Mapupdater

Use Mapupdater http://download.garmin.com/lmu/GarminMapUpdater.exe some members reporting problems with Express.

Garmin Express?

It would be interesting to know exactly why some folks use Garmin Express and it works flawlessly for them, yet others seem to have issues.
Is it the operating system used, other software conflicting with Garmin Express, or hardware configurations.

I myself continue to use MapUpdater, if it ain't broke don't fix it.

Hit or miss depending on platform/OS...

On my last map update (2014.10), I tried MapUpdater on my MacBook Pro which failed at the exact same place in the download process multiple times. I finally gave up and used GarminExpress which had no issues. I also tried MapUpdater on Windows (Win7 x64) and it ran just fine with no issues. Go figure...

I really doubt that Garmin has any clue why one works while the other doesn't. Maybe that's why they still have two map update packages...if one doesn't work, try the other. rolleyes

Express vs. MapUpdater

I can't get Express to work properly. I've switched back to MapUpdater and have had no more problems.

I continue to use MapUpdater also.Had problems with Express from start and refuse to use it any more.Hard to understand why it works for others.

I think that's the same problem that Garmin is having...trying to figure out why it works for some and doesn't work for others. neutral
