Question: Where is the POI file I uploaded?

I uploaded a POI file yesterday. But now it's over 24 hours and it's not showing up under the "structures" category.

I'm wondering why.

Can anyone see this page?

http://www.poi-factory.com/node/40418

And I did try finding this answer under the FAQ's but couldn't see where this kind of lag time is addressed.

Thanks for your help.

patience, patience

All files submitted for posting have to go through validation and double checking before they are opened for general viewing and downloading. Globe Turtle probably took the 4th off and she only moderates the new file queue when there are no other issues biting for her attention.

That's the standard message until the file clears the moderation queue. We General Maintainers that have submitted files before don't often see this message because GT knows the files we submit are usually correct and are properly formatted.

Thanks for the reply. And I *do* have patience. It's just that I'm only home for a few days at a time with an internet connection and then I'm off on the road again for weeks on end. I just wanted to know what was going on before I left.

Thanks again.

Edit: While I'm asking... how is it that some POI files have active discussions attached to them while others don't? How does one get a discussion going once they've generated a POI file?

Just the way it is.

It is just the way it is. Those that have active discussions seem to be the ones that are either most frequently downloaded or change a lot. You can create a topic for your poi if you want. It does not mean anyone will continuously post in it.

Thanks pwohlrab

OK, from your answer it looks like when a discussion is started for a POI, and the topic has the same name as the POI, that the discussion is automatically attached to the POI.

I was wondering because there was no way to start a discussion for the POI using the tools.

I have ran into old files with same message before and had to get Jon to fix.

I believe JM or Angela has to link the 2.
