I live in the Valley of the Dinosaurs, and Canada Day is the official start of Tourist Season.
I realize we are a small town, but I wonder if people lose their minds when they leave the Big City.
We may not have a lot of traffic, but even in a small town, a stop sign still means stop! I've seen people stop in the middle of the street, get out of their car and take pictures of the scenery! Tourists seem drive 30 kilometers an hour on the highway out towards the museum, because they're SURE they must have missed it!

They aren't called tourists for nothing. That's their primary function to disregard local signs, customs and mores while inflicting maximum aggravation. The salving agent is to empty their wallets while the opportunity exits. It's painful while the infestation is occurring, but the rewards can be great.

I usually hide on stat holidays. Kelowna turns into a race track, and the sheer volume of traffic is hellish to deal with.
