2013's 2xx7 vs 2xx5 models? 2497 2495 2597 2595 2797

What are the differences in the 2xx5 and 2xx7 models and which ones should I go with?

It looks like the 2xx7 series introduces the magnetic mount. Is this a worthwhile advantage or just something that gets in the way when you're putting it away and costly to replace when something goes with it after warranty?

I noticed that the 2xx7 removes the pedestrian feature that was available on 2xx5.

My current 1350 has a 2GB on-board memory and I think the CPU runs at 16MHz. It is excruciatingly slow to find POIs and has odometer that only reads to the whole mile and it rolls over by one when the internal count reaches 0.6, then rolls again at 1.6 to 2 and so on rather than at whole value. I also understand that the 2xxx series eliminates the included EcoRoute which is now a $10 option on predecessor models.

I have the first Nuvi ever, the 200 and that one's odometer reads in 1/10 miles which I'm glad to see it come back on the 2xxx series. The 200 also reads the name of the street you're about to cross. This one was eliminated on models as early as 205W. Do you guys know if this made a come back?
