Removed Red Light cameras
Thanks, but I was looking for the actual locations of the removed cameras.

Good Question
I agree with Alan I also like to know the specific location that the cameras as been added or removed.
What for?
This is just additional, pointless work for maintainer. Plus every now and then new topic will start: "there is like whole bunch of RLC POI files. Which I should download" or "there are not all cameras in my file". I think what counts is that there is one, current file that doesn't confuse anyone.
If you like to find what changes are made to POI file just import older and newer version to spreadsheet (like Excel or Calc) and do comparison of files. This way you can find what changes were made. And it's easy because they are in csv format, easily readable to any spreadsheet program. All it take is just little effort from your side.
In practice if you drive, get warning about camera and it isn't there it means camera was removed. And if you kindly send info about it here POI file will be updated. Same about newly added camera.
Changes
JM posts what states have changes every week.
For example.
Camera changes this week in Alabama, Ohio, New York and Florida

Question???
When a red light camera is removed , how cam we find out where it was located?
I am not sure why you would want an alert for a location where a RLC is NO LONGER present. A "false positive" alert would not be harmful. It's not like you would roll through a red light if you didn't get an alert.
Removed RLC Location
The reason I was asking the question in the 1st place, was so that I could tell my friends who do not rely on a gps for this kind of information.

Removed Red Light Cameras Info
I agree with GRZESJA. I appreciate the info provided on POI FACTORY. I spend a lot of time trying to solve problems myself and appreciate the effort of people giving the info FREE. If I ask for advice, it's after I have exhaused hours of work trying to resolve my personal problem.
If you are using Windows
You can use the DOS 'File Compare' command.
fc c:\old_RLC_file c:\new_RLC_file /L
That should compare the two files and show you what the differences are.
In MD
In MD the County puts out a list of cameras, usually by intersection. That may be sufficient for your use if other States also do the same.
Producing more work for those who maintain these critical files for that reason would not seem warranted.
Fred
I am updating the false
I am updating the false positives where I live in Alexandria/Arlington, VA.
Bogus entries
I'm just happy when the bogus entries are removed. I don't care where the inaccurate entries were located (except for the ones I have personally submitted for removal) as long as they ARE removed. I appreciate the work that is done for us on this file.
