That's the headlines in today's Dallas Morn. News. The newest going into operation is at: 1.Commerce Street and Central Expressway. 2. Lemmon Avenue and Mockingbird Lane. 3. Abrams Road and Forest Lane, and 4. Fitzhugh and Gaston Avenues.
These are the first active installations among 60 cameras Dallas plans to operate by April. The TV news said they would not advise where the other 54 locations would be.
The first two fines will be $75 each. The third and beyond will be $150 each. according to the newscast.
This is just a heads up for those visiting, or living in the area that did not see or hear of this.

I had downloaded a red

I had downloaded a red camera file from another site. I wish I could upload it to this site but I don,t know if I need permission to do it. I don,t want to raise any feathers. Anywhy, Sunday my Wife wanted to go to Virgina Beach to do a little Christmas Shopping. I used Interstate 64 ( Outer Loop ). When I loaded the file onto my Gps I set the dist. at 2100 Feet. The Gps must have alerted me about ten times during the trip. The GPS would start beeping and say Speed Alert 55MPH. I don,t know were they put the Camera,s but on the signs that go across the three lanes you could see a little black or dark box sitting on the end of the Poll. And they were about 2100 feet after the Alarm first went off.

Not too long ago the nightly

Not too long ago the nightly news, showed and told about what they call a "RAT" box here in Dallas. It's installed next to the cameras, and it someway signals a patrol down the street that you ran the red light. I haven't seen one nor not heard anymore about it. I know City Hall has quite a campaign going for these installations.
