The Kangaroo Express convenience store brand is owned by Alimentation Couche-Tard (ACT), a Canadian compamy that operates other convenience store brands including Circle K, Couche-Tard and Mac's. In 2015 ACT acquired more than 1500 company operated Kangaroo Express locations. A majority of these were converted to Circle K and some remained as Kangaroo Express. A select group of Kangaroo Express stores were made available for sale and became the foundation of the Kangaroo Express Francise program.
