OK, on my Garmin Nuvi 1450 or my 1490 I go to tools> My Data> Import Route(s). I do not want those on my Garmin, but I can't find a way to remove them. I've tried hooking the Nuvi to the computer & I can find GPX, remove every thing in there, but when I unplug and look at my Nuvi those are still there. Do you mean I can not get those off my Nuvi?
SD card?
Do you have a micro SD card in the nuvi? If so, look for GPX folder and files in both the internal storage and SD card.

1490 delete
First Tools>MyData>Delete Selected routes>All. OK
Now connect your unit to your PC and delete Temp.gpx

I go to My Data> then there
I go to My Data> then there is a section Import routes. These are routes I added with MapQuest and now I want to remove them and I can't find a way to remove them. I have already gone to Delete Selected Route(s). It's already empty. It's the import Route(s) I'm trying to remove.
OK, I finally got it:

Using Mapquest
After you delete the route in Tools,
Connect your device to the pc.
Locate the Garmin drive.
In the GPX folder, locate the Mapquest.gpx file.
Delete it.
