hi i have just got a garmin 2952lmt and put some voices on it , ihave put the vml files into the voice folder and show up on my pc when device is connected so i know they are there but when i go into my device to change voice they are not there or dont show up any ideas

What is a Garmin 2952LMT? I am not familiar with that model number. Is it a nuvifone?
In any case, where did you get the voice files? I would suggest usng WebUpdater to see what voices it offers for your device. It could be the files you are putting on the device are not compatible with your Garmin model.

The voice files on my 765T are .vpm files. If you look in the /Garmin/Voice/ folder what are the file extensions that you see?
As alandb just asked, where did you get the vml files?

Apparently edinski has a couple of typo's in his post. According to his profile he has a 2595LMT.
I believe he meant to type .vpn not vml.
If you are trying to copy voice files from a different Garmin model to your 2595 most likely they will not work. Different models have different voices and compression ratios, the voice files use different voice engines.
As alandb indicated, use WebUpdater to get voice files since whatever is availble when connected to WebUpdater is compatible with your 2595.
