In danger of losing your windmill?

Maybe you can share with us the last place your GPS took you and if you encountered any problems, or if you use it to seek out special places to go (like Thai Food, ice cream shoppes, etc.)

Anything to keep your windmill alive.

This thread will be closed on the last day of the month and a new one will be opened.

Train Ride from Ft. Worth, TX to St. Louis

Helped my son move from St. Louis to Ft. Worth, Tx last week, and since we towed his car with a Rental Truck, I decided to take the train back. Mounted my GPS on the train window with the suction mount, and could keep track of our speed and location. They have 110 volt connections on every seat, so the adapter came in handy. I tried off road mode, but found, in a lot of places, the train paralelled roads, so you could track it better in Auto mode. Fastest speed was 81 mph, which I learned later, is the fastest by law, they are allowed to run. The snow coming up through Southern Missouri was beautiful. 17 and a half hour trip, but you can get up, walk around, stretch, walk the length of 5 cars, go downstairs to the snack car, go down to the dining car, or sit in the glass club car and watch the scenery. On the whole trip, the whole train was only about half full.

Question regarding update being 'used' more than once

I got offered an SD card with 2013.4. I was concerned because the description said that the owner had 'used it' on 3 GPSs and they all loaded OK. I went ahead and bought it because my purchase is 'guaranteed' to work as advertised or I get my money back.
Am I not right that these updates are one-time/one GPS only? It will be interesting to see if it loads and is useable.

If it works, I got a Nuvi 1350T plus maps for about $60. The maps on it are 2011. But they are not Lifetime.

One thing I miss on the 1350 is that you cannot plug in an external antenna. I program in my basement office and plug in my 855 to an external antenna for satellite reception. Can't do it on the 1350.
