In danger of losing your windmill?
Maybe you can share with us the last place your GPS took you and if you encountered any problems, or if you use it to seek out special places to go (like Thai Food, ice cream shoppes, etc.) Anything to keep your windmill alive.
This thread will be closed on the last day of the month and a new one will be opened.

Made the trek back to the in-laws last week for my mother-in-law's 80th birthday. They live in the interlake of Manitoba. We lucked out, missing winter storms that occurred just before we drove out and another that followed us home.
Beautiful country and a lovely visit with a wonderful lady - but 2600 kilometers round trip in the winter can be an adventure!
About 900 miles this weekend
Friday, we left Clovis, NM and went to Dallas, Tx. Spent the night with out oldest son and his "better half". Saturday, we dropped down to Midlothian, TX, and then back to Clovis, NM. About 900 miles over the weekend.
The 560LMT worked flawlessly in the automobile mode, something I don't use for long trips very often.

I need to get it alive.
I used my GPS...
to get to the Winnipeg Humane Society to bring in a cat that was hit by a car in front of my house. It took me down a route I never would have known- cool shortcut.

Just Got Back
From Louisiana, I got to see my first School Zone Alert in West Baton Rouge on La 1. And my first JV Birds Eye View in Lafayette, La. Was using my GPS 3590LMT.

Finding my way around between the airport and the hotel, the hotel and the project site, back to the hotel, and to the airport in another state.
Karen had me drive on a surface road instead of a freeway. Should've glanced at the Google map beforehand.

Work Travel
Driving a couple of hours north, south and east each day for work. The 1450LMT is working flawlessly everyday with the rest stop, turnpike tolls, restaurants, hotels, etc POIs.

Road Trip to Florida
Drove from Vancouver Island, BC, Canada (after taking the Black Ball Ferry) down the I5 to LA then visited my Aunt in Rancho Cucamunga. Then across the south of the USA through Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi and Florida. Just looking for warm weather, drove down Florida to the Keys and out to Key West, finally found some warm weather!
Used my Garmin Nuvi 2595 and it only led me astray 3 time, two for restaurants and once for an address I punched in. Both times it got me to the right street but about a mile from the real address. Once I checked the street addresses I quickly located the places though.
I think I put 7000 Kilometers on the odometer so far this trip.

GPS behaved well on the way North. On the way South, it gave some weird routing through some rural roads, instead of the main highway, after crossing the border back to the US.

Road Trip
Went to Cabela's yesterday - 145 miles Columbus OH to Wheeling WV. Took about 2 and 1/2 hours to get there with a stop. Took over 6 hours to get back with one long stop. Snow, ice and a jackknifed semi on I-70 - sat there for almost 3 hours. Of course I spent more than I planned at Cabela's (as usual).

Just fiddling with my Nuvi 2555LMT. Since it is difficult to glance at the screen to determine the traffic areas (red and yellow), I changed the freeways, major and minor roads to blue. That way, the red and yellow spots are quite visible.
