when will we get a map update?

I spoke with Garmin Tech Support this morning and she said it would be available "in the next 2 months". She was very nice, but I wish she had a more accurate date.

I spoke with Garmin yesterday and was told the same thing that we have hearing for sometime......could be tomorrow...could be a couple of months. They don't know.

Is it true, that any map update is not a freebee?

The map update has been $75 in the past. You can do a search on this website for map update to see what others have been saying.

I spoke with Garmin tech support a couple of days ago and inquired as to why updates were not available for the v 2008 for north america city navigator but that they were being shipped with new product. I was told that was common and that new product, as of end of June, were being shipped with the new map updates but that the upgrades would not be available until the end of July or first of August.
