Collier County Florida Red Light Cameras

Collier County Florida has terminated the Contract with American Solutions - Red Light Camera Provider. Studies have shown that the Red Light Cameras did not contribute to the decrease in intersection accidents. Also a court ruling on a class action lawsuit concerning the fact that the red light cameras only took pictures of the license plate and did not also take a photo of the driver ended with the plantiffs being awarded $64,000. The County is now in the process of having all red-light cameras taken down.
