Miss POI could you send them each an email? I am content to wait for the gpspassion guys to post Toyota list. It doesn't make sense to have another group start from scratch when one is group is about done and other has 30/50 states. BTW I'll send a note to the gpspassion guy about him cross posting his POI here. Many like myself have posted POI at both.

Another method for area specific would be go to Google Maps and type in Illinois Toyota dealerships. Then in the My Maps tab on the left of the GM screen create a new map where you save the Toyota dealers you are interested in.

You can then use the Google™ My Maps Converter Beta to construct a file for directly uploading to a Gamin GPS via your USB cable. You'll need the free Garmin Communicator Plugin to do this, found on the Garmin web site.

The US Site actually sent me a list that I could copy each entry in reasonable amoumt of time. The Canadian Site was not so friendly, had to do a lot of cut and paste... but it too is complete.

Can be usefull for any Toyota Ownew who like to vist us up here in COLD COLD Canada

Would you believe I have also been waiting for the finished project, I helped on several dealerships Gcoyne had difficulty with and I submitted those to him and have been waiting patiently when he was going to post the final list.

spider_elliott supplied me with an update to Toyota of Tri-Cities (Address and co-ordinates)

All locations were verified and most have now been geocoded to address accuracy.

Both the US and Canadian versions of the Toyota POI file have been uploaded in GPX and CSV versions. They have also been broken down to State and Province files.

Thanks to Miss POI for getting these up there so fast.

Also thanks to Hornbyp for his GeePeeEx program and retiredtechnician and his PoiVerifier program. I don't know how I could have completed these files without these programs.

I downloaded the POI list for the Toyota dealerships, and found that one in my area was missing - Wilsonville Toyota. I saved it on my GPS, but haven't figured out yet how to upload this new point to this site. I'm still learning how to use my GPS, so if someone has a quick and easy description of the upload process, I'd appreciate it.

Click on the file owner's name and then their contact tab. Send them a message with the name and address of the missing dealer and they should take care of the rest. If you don't hear back from them in a couple of days, post the correction in this forum.
