Where's MrKenFl?

Has anyone heard from MrKenFl lately? I'd been waiting for the latest Rest Area POI to be released (maintained my MrKenFl for the last five years, thank you Ken.) when I realized that I don't remember seeing him on the Factory lately. I hope nothing's happened to him. Anyone have any insight? Or have I just not noticed him?

Phil

He appears to still be kickin'

He had a couple of posts on page 2 of this week's chit chat thread ... probably just no updates to report for the Rest Area file.

While we're on the subject

I haven't seen any activity from TurboCCC here, on his wikispace site nor elsewhere for quite some time. I hope all is well with him, perhaps he's busy inventing yet another tool for all of us to play with smile

It's been since November that no one has heard from him. He and I were working on a project for EPE and it seems he has just disappeared. He doesn't answer his email and I have no other way of contacting him.

@ Box Car

I also sent him an email a few weeks ago and never got a response.

He is in the Bermuda

He is in the Bermuda Triangle!

If this is true

If this is true, I'm sure someone here could create a poi file to help him navigate out. Even if the GPS isn't working properly.

Still kicking

Still looking at the green side of the grass - Taking nourishment and checking the obits every morning in the paper to see if my name is there. If it ain't, I know I'm gonna have a good day !
Actually, been up to my --- in alligators trying to help get a fraternal organization back on it's feet.
Made the mistake a couple of months ago in volunteering to be a trustee to help them out of a serious situation.
I retired 14 years ago so its a little(??????) different for me to be spending 4-5 hours a day assisting at the club. And being there at 7 AM when it's a 1/2 hour drive for me.
It would be a lot easier if I was 67 instead of 76 !

Update to RAC file will be out by Monday. Just got about 5 or 6 more Rest Areas to research in TX and I should be ready to submit update.
Thanks for your concern !

I too had emailed him several months ago without a response. Also I have not seen a post from him on other forums. I certainly hope he is OK.

@MrKenFL
You're amazing to accomplish what you have at age 76.
The Rest Area POI is one of my most treasured POI's.
Keep up the good work, it's sincerely appreciated.
No need to check the obituaries in the AM for many years to come being as active as you are.

Don't you dare

Ken, I'm sure I speak for most of our members when I say "Thank you" for keeping the Rest Area POI current. Don't you dare to EVER wake up on the wrong side of the grass. Keep up the good work.

Not Surprised

Given how much volunteering work you do for the "factory", it does not surprise me at all that you would take on other tasks to help people/organizations out.

Good for you!! I have always felt that helping others is a way to stay "young"

Thanks for all your work.
