Still fighting my 1490lmt

Has been suggested I give to my worst enemy, which one, hard to choose.

I'll be your worst enemy.

I'll be your worst enemy. Give it to me. grin

If you are giving it away for free I will take it.

I have a 46" analog TV that you may have. Just pay shipping and handling.

To alleviate frustration I suggest

My last trip to LA sent my 1490 into a tizzy.
When I got home I reset it and cleaned house, deleting even more programs and reloaded the maps. Now it seems to be operating right but I will not know for real until we go to Anaheim CA in November for a basketball tournament. It seams that after a while the Garmin has a problem with memory and needs to be reset.

Another bad mark...

...for the 1490. I have been using that model for 2 1/2 years w/ no problems, so far. I'm waiting for it to explode on my dashboard. We'll see.

no problem for me

I have not problem with my Garmin 1490...T, without Lifetime Map. It works well, so I am not ready to give it to anyone. smile

Interesting

So many users rallying behind the 1490.

I finally gave in to the frustration with my 1490T, nearly throwing it against a brick wall, but instead purchasing a 2595.

After using it a bit locally and one 250 mile trip, it already far surpasses my too long experience with the 1490.

My suggestion is if yours works trouble free, be happy that it does. If yours isn't trouble free, dump it as soon as you can and get something else.

You must have a lemon!Mine

You must have a lemon!Mine is great. on a recent trip through wasington DC. It must've saved me an hour. By rerouting to avoid traffic,it also picks red light cameras, speed traps, radar it even picks up dangerous intersections and many more hazzards. As i said I love mines
