Triple D Plus vs Diners, Drive-ins and Dives POI

Does anyone know what, if any, difference there are between these two POI files? I have been looking at them and they both seem pretty much the same, or am I missing something? TipD has a couple of extras but both are updated on a regular basis. Duplication of effort?

I'm liking Food Network's new IOS app...

Food Network On The Road... has locations of places featured on DDD and just about every other show that goes out and features places. Neat app.

Duplication of effort? perhaps

The one I maintain Triple D Plus has the food prepared for each show location the other one maintained by DRMCMTR does not, my file also includes reviews by POI factory members at some of the locations and I try to update weekly.

As of today my file has 558 locations and his 543, if you want a smaller file to fit in your PND then his is a better choice since it only includes the name and address.

Thank you for the clarification - I was wondering this myself. Note that DinersDrive-insDives.gpx being a gpx file is the same size as your Triple D Plus.csv as of its last release.

Should we combine the files?

I only post location from the Food network locations (correct or not). The Food site has not posted new locations for a while so I have not updated the file.

Maybe we should combine the file and only have one version?

There are many different reasons I don't load 3D+. The primary is there's too much information in the file. The second being it's (in my opinion) only available in one format and it would take a lot of effort at every update to put it into a useable GPX.

In going back through the history of the file there were a couple other 3D files that had data from other websites but the decision was made about the time you took over from a_user to keep it "pure" by only posting information from the show's site.

There we go

Now we have a Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives PLUS version

"Here is a different version of Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives for POI-Factory members to choose from and it is not associated with the Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives project already on this site." quote from flaco

Gives the impression that this poi file has more in it.
But it doesn't. Its only relation to the original Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives file is the file name. Hmm

But as Box Car points out "There are many different reasons I don't load 3D+. The primary is there's too much information in the file. " So the files are different.

Gets more confusing as time goes by.
