Garmin Nuvi 350 Blue Screen Of Death

While I was driving home tonight, my Garmin Nuvi 350 starting displaying erratic readings. I attempted to re-boot it, but now I get a "blue screen of death." Anyway, I will contact Garmin in the morning, but I am just wondering with a unit this old if Garmin will still repair it for a price or will they not even repair something this old? Also, do they generally repair for a flat rate or does it depend on what they need to do?

Have you attempted to do a

Have you attempted to do a hard reset of the nuvi by pressing the lower right corner while pressing and holding the power button for a few secs? I don't have a 350 but the reset sequence is probably the same. I'm not sure Garmin will repair/replace a unit that old.

I have a Nuvi 350

It just died a few yrs ago. No BSOD tho. But power button did nothing. There's a reset button on back under the antenna. That did it for me.

Repairing a 350?

Is the unit recognized when plugging into the PC?

Before going any further try what MikeSID suggested and press the reset button on the back. If that doesn't work try doing a hard reset.
If neither work, from your description, looks like you have a hardware issue.

I believe you bought that unit used earlier this year.

I doubt Garmin will fix it since it's so old but if they did the price would be high.

You can check the link below for sharcnet who does repair 350's. Jim the owner is a member of this forum.

I personally would not invest in a repair in such an old unit, however, you may feel it's worth it.
