I have about 1 day of experience with the 3590. In my opinion, all the features are easy to use and locate. However, I cannot find how to set a security code, nor can I find it referenced in the manual. Can you set a PIN on this device?
Thanks!

Why bother? It's useless. You can crack it in less than 4 hours if determined. 4 digits, 0000-9999 is easy.
For a true lock, it needs to have minimum 8, with any characters available.
Remove it from the vehicle. Always.

I was shocked too
From your model's web site specs:

Garmin Lock™ (anti-theft feature): no
I think that many (most/all?) of the new nuvis have lost this feature.

We've discussed this time and again on the forum, and the consensus was, it's a useless feature. Garmin finally agreed.
The only way to deter the theft was to remove it, and the mount from view.
It was only an illusion of security.

It still would serve some purpose.
Although it would not stop a determined thief from accessing your info, it could stop the less professional. I think it should still be an option to activate.

Since my nuvi has a lengthy delay between attempts, it would be quite difficult to enter all 10,000 combinations in four hours. Sure, you are likely to find the winning combination in less than 10,000 tries, but it would still take a very long time.
A better idea (for an 855) would be to just turn it off and on about 20-30 times, one of those times would allow it to work without a code.
