JCV files on new 2460lmt

The difference is the large 775mb JV file is for models that use full screen junction views and the 445mb file is for units that use split screen junction views. My 3790MT uses the 445mb size also and my unit does a split screen with the map on the left side and the JV on the right.

The big advantage of the split screen is that the JV comes up about 3/4 mile before the junction and stays up until the junction has passed where the full screen pops up just for a few seconds and is gone. I have had both and vastly prefer the split screen that stays up much longer.

I own both a 1450 and a 2460 ... the difference in the size of Junction view files is that the 2460 uses a split screen junction view.

I prefer the split screen. More time on screen ... yet allows you to glance at map detail.

You've got the full file. If you would install the larger JV file ... you would overwrite the "split screen" feature of your new gps.

I recently went from 1490T to 2460LMT. The split screen JCV is much more functional. It stays on until you've passed the junction, and you can still see the map. If you don't like the split view, you can download the larger JCV file. They have the same number of views, but the larger file is full screen only.
