Milio’s Sandwiches ($) began as Big Mike’s Super Subs on the UW–Madison campus in 1989 and has since grown into a beloved regional chain across Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Iowa. Their signature sub experience centers on bread baked fresh every four hours in-store—an element they proudly call “our secret sauce”. The menu delights with a roster of handcrafted sandwiches, from the eponymous “Milio’s Classic”—stacked with turkey, smoked ham, Wisconsin cheddar, crisp veggies, pickles, and mayo—to rotating specialties like pulled-pork pretzel rolls and chicken-pesto Italian subs.
