Can anybody help with advice on this?

When you select the file you want most will say Garmin cvsv or Tom Tom ov2. Pick the Garmin csv. You will see some as gpx also.

You state when you "click to download it's in other formats." Can you tell us what you are seeing? CSV files will show as either a text file or an Excel file. Is this what you are seeing?

A CSV is a text based file. The file format for the TND is similar to the Garmin but it differs in some key points. It uses the coordinates and POI or Location name the same, but any extra data is different from what is normally put into a Garmin. After the POI Name, you need the phone number, followed by address, city, state (spelled out), and country. missing fields are replaced by commas. The complete instructions are in the User Manual. I got the copy I was looking at from http://www.retrevo.com/support/Rand-McNally-TND-510-GPS-manu....

Oh, welcome to the site.
