Does anyone know how to unfreeze my unit. My unit is froze during sartup and says your device needs tobe restarted to increase performance.
Did you make a copy of all the files on the GPS before you updated the software?
If not, contact Magellan, I had problems with my 1470 which was 2 years old, and out of warranty, I told tech support the problems I had with the 1470 GPS and problems with the recent update causing problems with the GPS, they decided to replace the GPS with a refurbished 1470 GPS at no cost and the refurbished 1470 has the most recent map update. I say contact Magellan tech support and complain that the recent software update has now caused your GPS not to operate and they may send you a replacement.
