I am looking for the half way point to Lorton Virginia from Ottawa, Ontario and maybe some motel suggestion for a family.

According to Streets & Trips the half way point would be 293.1 miles. Scranton, PA would be the best bet for a good choice of motels, which would be about 319 miles. The way We travel The whole trip would probably be a one day drive. We drove from the IL/WI state line to just outside of Pittsburgh, PA, which was about 550 miles and an easy day's drive.
Anytime you have a 50-50 chance of getting something right, there's a 90% probability you'll get it wrong.
