In danger of losing your windmill?
Maybe you can share with us the last place your GPS took you and if you encountered any problems, or if you use it to seek out special places to go. (Like Thai Food, ice cream shoppes, etc.) Anything to keep your windmill alive.
This thread will be closed on the last day of the month and a new one will be opened.

Confused!!

It's funny to see how the GPS reacts when I take a new highway that's not in its map!! It keeps trying to find landmarks and as soon as one gets close by, it tells me to find a way to get there!!

Last Trip

Too long ago, so we need to get going now that the weather is nice.

We GPSed all around Oklahoma, Arkansas, & Texas last year. The GPS and the POIs help us discover interesting routes that we might not otherwise try.

Always!

Don't need to take a trip to use the GPS ... it's used virtually all the time when driving. We move it from one vehicle to another.

Unit never leaves the car except when I want to update !

Love the fact that it keeps a log of my past driving in case I should be involved in some kind of situaton that it will help having my location, time & speed recorded.

Also the speed reading is more accurate !

my thoughts - ought to be with 5 cents in this inflated economy !

Baltimore and back

Not too much traveling around for the past couple of weeks, but made a drive south of Baltimore and back today, most of the trip on I95. Overall, the weather was clear and sunny, and traffic was moderate and steady moving. Used the Android phone and the Google nav app. Worked well; no freezes and all recommended parts of the route were clear and made sense.

Last Trip...

Drove across the San Mateo bridge (San Francisco bay area) to drop off our taxes to the tax preparer, then decided to explore stores that may have the Hoover Max Extract carpet cleaner in stock- like bed bath and beyond, target, walmart, sears, etc. We found those places but they did not have the model we are looking for. Nice to know we can just press "Go Home" and not worry about where we are at the time to find the bridge home.

Frederick County, MD

My last trip using the GPS was on Saturday, when we explored western Frederick County, MD. The kids had fallen asleep in the car on the way to Costco, so we took an impromptu roadtrip while they napped.

Explored southern Maryland

Explored southern Maryland on the motorcycle with the 2610 allowing me to wander without getting lost.

My first trip on Route 66 was from Springfield Illinois to Amboy California in 1958. Our most recent trip was in 2008. Some of my favorite landmarks are still there.

Chattanooga TN

Drove to ST Louis MO for the Misery Valley Basketball Tournament (didn't win it) and then to Paducah KY to the National Quilt Museum. Wife spent some of her "ENTITLEMENT" money and then we drove to Chattanooga TN to the Delta Queen Hotel so that I can photograph it because I am building a 6 foot RC model of the boat from blue prints and needed to clarify some points. Then we headed home.

.

Picking up my new ride on Sat. Get to explore some new territory. On that note I am not sure how I want to mount my GPS. I have a spare dash disk, I may want to consider an alternate means.
