Variable speed alerts

I load my redlight pois with Poiloader with with default alert, but I keep getting the continuous warning box of Variable speed alerts...it took over the control of my GPSr, could not input any destination at all. I had to connect it to the laptop to remove them. It happens very frequently...my mnodel is 265WT Nuvi... no speed notation in file name or insi9de the poi

Not a good day for me

I finished the above message, as I unplug the GPSr from the laptop (USB connection) it just died...would not turn on...anyone could think of possible cause(s)...

Charge Your Unit

Could be a dead battery, is it the original?
I would let the unit charge by connecting it to a wall charger or plug it into your car and see if it turns on.

Since it was plugged into your laptop and didn't charge properly don't use the laptop to charge, this eliminates the posssiblity of a faulty USB cable.

Strange solution

I searched the internet...to revive my Garmin, I had to slide and hold the power button for 4 minutes...wooofff...It came back.

If unit will not turn on -

If unit will not turn on - plug into computer USB port.

Soft reset - press and hold far upper left corner of screen and turn on and hold for several seconds.

Hard reset (you will lose some user stored data) - same as above except press and hold far lower right corner of screen.
