Use it everyday going to work for traffic.

Ft Lauderdale, FL. Spent a week playing golf. Or trying to.

Driving to Sterling for a day. No issues with GPS maps there.

Took the back way to Warren,Ont.

To Japan for a wedding. During the cherry blossom season peak (wedding is April 7th).

I will need to bring my phone and do up some Geocaching for sure.. when will i ever be over there again. Tons of pictures will also have to be taken.

Update:
Trip was a success - Jack performed well, although he got a little confused by the tall buildings blocking and reflecting the signal. I noticed more junction views in spots that did not have them before. Overall very good performance.

Tim Hortons

My last trip was to Niagara Falls, Ont to celebrate my anniversary. Half way there I accidentally knocked the wire down and broke the attachment right inside the socket. After that incident I realized that the connection behind the gps...the wire is on its last stages also. I guess it is time to buy a new one...lol!

Made a number of trips to/from and around Baltimore this week. Google nav app worked well, no traffic issues, no freezes. Good weather when I was out and about which also made for a more pleasant experience.

So this is what I have to do to get a new GPS?

All went well, however on the return leg I did notice odd behavior with the Google Nav app. Going from point A to point B, there are two to three possible routes with roughly the same time/distance. I choose to ignore the recommended route since the alternate route had less traffic and less risk of congestion. Almost all the way back on the alternate route, the Google nav app wanted a U-turn and return to the recommended route. This continued at each cross-road even as I was less than 5 miles from the destination. Finally, the rerouting took into account the alternate route and the estimated time dropped from 23 minutes to 6 minutes.

As I know the area extremely well, the problem was obvious, but in an unfamiliar place, I would have probably stuck to the U-turn recommendation. Will have to watch for more examples.

My last trip was to Baltimore BUT with the Z3 Roadster top down due to the fabulous warm weather we've been having recently.

The only folks who are unhappy are the ski resort operators in southern PA.

Last Trip: ATL!

Only one day before I left for vacation in Florida, my GPS car power supply stopped working. I unscrewed it, and noticed that the red wire snapped (so, luckily there was nothing wrong with my car outlet). Anyway, I ordered a replacement charger online (my GPS is a StreetPilot 2730, so replacements are not available in stores), and I'm just hoping it arrives in Florida before we venture out on a roadtrip. (We're planning on driving from my in-laws' house in Fort Myers to my parents' house in Palm Coast.)

No place that I needed the GPS, stay around the home area.

Bought home-made corn tortillas, Queso Fresco cheese, and Goya Sazon spices for taco night. The gong told me about 3 new RLC locations over there. Thanks POI-Factory.

... but I did add NavTraffic and NavWeather to my Zumo 665 yesterday. So I can spend a few days locally getting use to the new screens before hitting the road.

My 1490 just whipped me through some back around Spokane last week. Saved me some time as I didn't know a street went through that shortcutted an area for me.
