Replacing a garmin nuvi 610 battery

I replaced the battery for 610 Nuvi only to find that the unit does not now start up. There was a garmin logo for 30seconds which flashed on and off and then nothing. If anyone can help me trouble shoot this then I would really appreciate some help.
Thanks

have you

Charged the battery by either connecting it to a USB port for at least a half hour or used an external charger like for a cell phone or bluetooth device?

The 600 series are difficult to work on.
Check your cable connections for LCD screen and touchscreen.

Good golly, the European nuvi 610 was a bear for battery replacements:

I'm glad Garmin simplified assembly for later models.

Saw That Video

I must have watched that video 20 times and still managed to brick my original Nuvi 600 while changing the battery. As careful as I was the cables got dislodged and I ruined the connector on the board trying to put them back. The battery is located in the bowells of the GPS and should be left for experts. The 660 instructions is the same as the 610.

If there is an instructional video, watch it carefully a couple times more. Then, take it very slowly to trace your step back. Physically disassemble the unit as if you were replacing the battery again. You will very likely find out if a cable was not connected properly, or (cross your finger) a component was damaged.
