POI Info: Regional (NY/NJ/CT tri-state area) electronics superstore chain with 65 locations. The POI includes the usual location information as well as if the location handles car installations (C), is a built-in appliance designer showroom (D) or is a Mac Computer Center (M).

About: In 1909 Peter Christian (P.C.) Richard, an immigrant from Holland, opens a hardware store in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn. Soon thereafter, his son A.J. Richard is born and at age six begins assisting his father around the store. Slowly, the store expands to electronics, and later several other stores are opened. Over the next several decades, the store expands to 66 locations with a massive 650,000 square foot hub in Farmingdale, Long Island as well as a 325,000 square foot hub in Carteret, NJ.
