Nuvi 1450 won't recognize SD card

My new Nuvi 1450 won't recognize my SD card. I downloaded POI's from The Factory. I transfer them to the SD card with the POI Loader I can see them in my PC so they are on the card but the Nuvi doesn't display the card under Extras. I can load them to the device itself and they are under Extras. How can I access them on the SD card?
POI Loader has a bug
POI Loader has a bug in it that causes the POI file to be written to an SD card with the wrong extension. Look on the SD card for your file with a .POI extension. Rename the file so it has a .GPI extension and all will be well. (Oh, Garmin knows about the problem but isn't in any hurry to fix it.)

How sad, right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. What a waste of resources and cost to Garmin for phone bills and CS salary.
