Garmin may be able to sell you a replacement cradle. Check there.

A search on eBay suggests to me that the cradle was specific to the nuvi 6x0 series. [More knowledgeable folks--correct me if this is wrong. I half-expected it to work with the nuvi 7x0 series but this expectation was not correct.]

As Boxcar suggests, replacement cradles are available. I see 28 on eBay right now (about $15 with free S&H):

I doubt that any new nuvi model will be backwards compatible except for the old 6x0 series.

Your cradle that was stolen will fit the 600 series ONLY, NONE are backwards compatible. The 700 series has a different cradle. Many of the new units don't even have a powered cradle, 12V power cord plugs directly into the unit. I myself prefer a powered cradle.

For sure I would look for one on Ebay.

As for the beanbag only buy a NEW ONE, I got a used one on Ebay in a package deal with a cradle for my 660, the cradle was fine, the bean bag was worn and sucked big time. Constantly slipping around.

The bean bag prices are constantly changing,I bought a new one at Amazon for 15.78, today it's 21.95.
If your patient the price will drop.

BTW you won't find a new unit capable of playing MP3's, they did away with that feature some time ago along with the audio out jack.
