Hi, is there any way I can transfer the data I have from my old Street Pilot to my new Nuvi 40? I would like to be able to keep all my POI, favorites, recent places? Is there a web page somewhere that can tell me how to do this, Thanks, Happy holidays to all
I was instructed by Garmin
I was instructed by Garmin Support to use their free Basecamp software. I was only partially successful as it would not import Routes.
Also, some of the Waypoinrs seems to be inaccurate.
I would try it and then test.

Nuvi 2460LMT.
First, do a complete backup
First, do a complete backup of your streetpilot.
Look at http://www.poi-factory.com/node/30393 to make sure your PC system settings are correct.
Then look at http://www.poi-factory.com/node/30394 to do the backup.
At this point you should have most of the files you might need for transfer.
