Lane Assist and Junction View data files

Hi everyone,

I have the Nuvi 1350T which does not have Junction View, but it does show the Lane Assist which have the highlighted arrows on the upper left corner to indicate which lane you should be in.

My question is, the Lane Assist data, is it inside the gmapprom.img/gmapsupp.img or the Lane Assist data in the same *.JVC file which also contain the junction view data?

I'm wondering when updating to new map, do I need to download the *.JVC file in order to get the latest update for my Lane Assist data.

Thank you

Lane assist in map file

I have not tested this myself, but I am pretty sure the lane assist (direction arrows) are part of the gmapprom.img map file, not the .jcv file. Other members who do not like the junction view feature have removed the .jcv file from their nuvi to remove the feature. This did not affect the lane assist function on these units.

Junction is not available in the 1350

Therefore there is nothing to add or delete.

Nuvi 2460LMT.

Yes

Yes, that probably the answer. If the OP has lane assist on a model that doesn't support junction views then the lane assist data must be in the gmapprom.img file.
