Is it feasible for me to convert gdb file for Nuvi 205?
I was hoping to ride a planned dual-sport motorcycle route tomorrow. This is a combination of public roads, with un-maintained road sections and snowmobile trails.
The club posted the route as a .gdb file. My GPS doesn't support routes, so I need to convert to coordinates to enter as individual destinations, or a POI file.
The Nuvi won't help with sections that are off the map, so i would want to edit it to have only road intersections.
I am hoping to afford a Montana 650 for next season, but for now the Nuvi is all I have to work with.

If You have MapSource you
If You have MapSource you can open gdb files, edit and save as gpx.
Garmin Basecamp will also work.

Mapsource file format
gdb files are Garmin's Mapsource file format. Download Mapsource from Garmin and you will be able to open the gdb file and thern you can send the waypoints from the file to your Nuvi 205. I don't think the 205 supports routes.
On your Nuvi 205 try and touch Settings > Navigation > Route Preference > Off Road > OK. See if that helps for your off road adventure.

Thank you!
I downloaded Basecamp, imported the gdb file, and sent it to the Nuvi. It shows each point from the imported file as a destination, so while not ideal, this looks like a good work-around.
