After updating firmware from 7.20 to 7.50 on a Garmin Nuvi 265W it does NOT recognize map on SD card.
Seems that problem in FW 7.40 continues on 7.50
Does anybody know how to downgrade to 7.20?
Thankx

map name
gmapsupp.img on SD card
I have to load the map in the unit (changed to gmapprom.img)
I 've tried with other maps and same result, it does not recognizes maps on SD card but it recognizes other files such as PIOs, Voices, etc.
If anybody has a NUVI 265W with GUPDATE.GCD with Firmware 7.20 HwID 827, please let me know.
I have been told that I can replace the GUPDATE file with FW 7.50 with one with FW 7.20 and reboot the unit. It will boot with 7.20 and problem should be solved.
Thankx

Thank you
Thank you very much "Strephon_Alkhalikoi" for the GCD file. Before I proceed with the change I will wait for the answer from Garmin Support to see what they suggest.
Anyhow... according to "DorkusNimrod" in thread
(http://www.poi-factory.com/node/29528)
Every time the unit boots (from a cold boot/power-cycle), it looks at GUPDATE.GCD (the firmware update file) and compares it to what is currently flashed on the unit.
If it's older than what is on the unit...
it will prompt you if you want to flash the older firmware version
If it's the same as what is on the unit...
no prompt will be displayed
If it's newer than what is on the unit...
a firmware update will take place
(end of quote)
So, if Garmin Support doesn't come with a better solution, I will try replacing the file hopping "DorkusNimrod" is right.
Will keep you informed.
Thankx
