I've recently took my 2620 out of mothballs, and I tried to look at its files the same way I can do with my nuvi 760 & 1490T. When I connect the 2620 to my PC, I get the sound indicating it has been recognized, but there is no listing of it as a drive under My Computer, and I don't know how to look at the files. Is there a way to look at my 2620 files?
Thanks for any help

I don't have a 2620 but from it's manual it looks to me that it does not present the internal memory as a USB drive like newer models do. (This is similar to the way my Etrex models work.)
The sound you hear is the DEVICE driver loading and you probably can see the Garmin device listed in Windows Device Manager.
After you hear the sound you can send/receive data between your computer and the 2620 by using software such as Map Source but you will not be able to view files on the unit.
Similar to 2610
Comments above also pertain to Street Pilot 2610.
