I was given a New Garmin 765T by my cousin that has never been updated. What is the best firmware # to install & stop at to take care of any problems.

The current version is 4.0 and it is the best IMO. Garmin fixed a long standing bug with the touch screen accuracy in this version. The only thing that I am aware of that they broke in this version is the Language Guide (a language translation app which is not used by very many users).

The 765T is one of the best Garmin GPS ever made, has more features than alot of the newer models.
