Finally remembered it is Monday
I have been forgetting the Chit Chat thread each Monday for the past few weeks.
I'm still using my NUVI, but not as reliant upon it as I once was. I am also running WAZE on my iPad for navigation. The interaction on WAZE is impressive and the application is quick learning. I like the timely notification of traffic problems, construction, blocked lanes and police presence that WAZE provides and the NUVI doesn't. Downside is WAZE relies upon fellow drivers to input situations and folks can overstate or over-react to gain attention.
No commute to and from Vegas this weekend.

Wife and I stayed at Ventana Canyon for four days last month and traveled past that Safeway a few times. Each time we discussed if there would be some type of monument or remembrance in the area. Sad that it happened, but glad people are sensitive to the situation and honoring those wounded or lost.

What the markets are doing does not surprise me at all. The timing is bad for my retirement accounts. They had rebounded nicely after 2008-2009 "dip."
But now, here we go again. Luckily, even though I'm retired, I have not needed to draw from them yet and don't expect to in the near term.
It all depends how quickly or slowly, the markets rebound after this latest hiccup.

I am back home now with some
I am back home now with some new important knowledge.
When trying something that you have not done in 20 years it is important to have the right equipment for the job.
I took a bunch of kids roller skating over the weekend and did not think to bring extra padding to fall on.
It is amazing how much it hurts to fall now that I am older.
I hope you guys all had a great weekend. It is sure nice to be home.
