Ignoring Red Lights
It looks like Los Angeles will be getting rid of it`s red light cameras .
The reason being -- because lack of enforcement. Many don't pay their tickets, and get away with it. Others are mad that they paid. They want a refund which they are not going to get.

The reason that they are doing away with them is NOT because of rear end collisions by people who are not paying attention, following too close, and are trying to beat a red light by driving through the yellow but because of the lack of enforcement or inability to collect the fines.

Never happen in the Big Apple. They just installed another RLC a block from my house. Mayor Bloomie would say the rear enders are the result of tailgating and excessive speed. Don't pay, and you risk your car being towed. If I could I would move out west. NYC is lost...
