I hope this brings the best of Garmin to Navigon's smart phone apps. Navigon is, in my opinion, the best iOS app out there - and if this brings about the ability to use custom POIs on smartphones with the same easy you can on a Garmin device, I'll be pleased.

i hope so

I just put Navigon North America on my iPhone a couple days ago.

So far so good, I'm still figuring it out, but so far I like it.

I hope this merger will advance the Navigon app line.

The Navigon app

Is very good on the iPhone, and even better on an iPad. For me - One of its advantages compared to other apps is having the full map on your device, so you're not dependent on a cellular network connection or wifi for data.

Do yo uthing the Navigon app

Do you think the Navigon app is as good as Co-Pilot? I'm currently using Co-Piliot and wonder if I should add Navigon.

I have no experience with copilot

I found Navigon to work as close to my Nuvi as anything else I'd tried previously, so I quit looking at other apps. From time to time, Navigon goes on 'sale' in the app store - and if you can pick it up when the price is reduced - go for it.

On sale now, or at least the other day when I bought it

Yep, it's on sale, that's what made me do it.
