C320 Locks up

I have a C320 that keeps locking up. The only way of restarting is to remove the frame and press the reset button. I was getting ready to check for updates online, when it said "Please insert the SD memory card". My memory card is a 2gb mini sd that sides into the SD adapter. It slides in pretty easily and I'm wondering if that could be my problem. But it is the first time I ever got that message. All other times while on the road it just froze. Currently looking for another 2 gb to swap out and try. Any ideas ?

Can you try removing the SD card
Can you try removing the SD card and running without it for a while.
What extra files do you have on it?
How long has it been locking up?
Do you think it started after some new pois (if you added any).

SD vs SDHC
What is the largest Secure Digital (SD) card that my ..... StreetPilot can accept?

Note: StreetPilot c300 series.... do not currently support the SDHC (High Capacity) cards.

Note that 2 GB cards (both regular and mini size) can be found as SD or SDHC. Which is yours?

The only thing on it is the 1.357 gig .img file 2011. The C320 originally came with 128 megs years ago and had to be increased to accept the new huge map files. You can not see the rest of the files, or tell how much space is left. I do have red light poi installed using poi loader but I can't see it. It doesn't work like a flash drive. Only the SD card is viewable by taking is out of the C320 and using a SD reader slot. If I pull it I get the "please insert the SD card message". I was going to remove all POI files for the lock up problem until the message sent me down a different path.
