I'm replacing a nüvi 265WT with a nüvi 2350LMT. I'd like your view on which data, if any, to transfer from the old to my new unit.
I upgraded when map updates for the 264WT were no longer available, because I wanted a unit that would remember routes and waypoints, and because the wife and I plan a major trip to Lake Tahoe later this month.
In particular, we have many Favorites stored on the old unit that I'd hate to lose.
Must I bite the billet or is there a simple way to migrate data from old to new unit?
Regards,
Bill
There is
There is a simple way to migrate your Favorites, Routes, Tracks etc.
Copy the current.gpx file from the old Nuvi's GPX folder to your PC.
Rename the file you placed on your PC to Temp.gpx and then move it to the GPX folder on the new unit.
Boot the 2350 and you should be good to go.
Nuvi 350, 760, 1695LM, 3790LMT, 2460LMT, 3597LMTHD, DriveLuxe 50LMTHD, DriveSmart 61, Garmin Drive 52, Garmin Backup Camera 40 and TomTom XXL540s.
One way
Open Mapsource. Connect the 265 to computer. Transfer> Receive from device. Connect the 2350 to the computer. Transfer> Send to device. Disconnect the 2350, the data has been saved to Favorites.
