I have a 885t that I bought used from Amazon late last year. I really like the voice control. I got my free 3 month trial of MSN which really lasted closer to 6 months but I let it run out. I was wondering if they dropped the price again so I went to the MSN Direct website and discovered they made it free through the end of the service. You can log in to the MSN Direct account you had to create for your intial activation and reactivate. I found it worked best to go in through the "support" tab after logging into MSN (I had to reset my password which wasn't hard).
If you, like me, have let this expire, it is worth a little messing around on their website to get this back for nearly 6 months, I think.

I hope another vendor will step up as a subsitute traffic option using the same receiver.

I had let it lapse and it quit at the end of last year. It is back now. Thanks for the info.
