Can I add 21: Accuracy ?

Can I add 21: Accuracy? Or does that go without saying?

must have's.

Lane assist and advanced multi-point routing would be #1 and #2 on my list.

Should Have & Nice to Have

OK, here are my should have group:

1,2,3,7, & 11

Nice to have would be:

4,5,6,10,13, & 19

My opinion, my choices. Good Luck!

Items from your list that I find important

1: Wide, 4.3" screenWide

2: Lifetime map updates - I purchased this

3: Speaks street names - a biggie for me

11: MP3 player - AUBIBLE player for audible.com books - I use the audible player a LOT when traveling for work

12: Multi-touch glass display - duh

13: Finds parked car - Never actually used this but...

14: Find emergency help ("Where am I?" locator) - never used this but I do like having it available

18: Predicts your routes (myTrends)- I don't have this but it sounds good

19: Multiple stop routing (Sorts multiple destinations)- I've used this multiple times

The numbers game

3, 5, 6, 19, 1 (and 2, unless it's close to the price of buying it separately--if it adds under $50 to the price of the same unit but without LM, then it's an important consideration).

I specifically suggest avoiding giving much importance to 10 since many folks will prefer paying for ClearChannel Traffic and avoid Navteq. In fact, for those who want ClearChannel traffic, having free ad-supported Navteq on a device is a major negative.

9 is of use if you travel through areas with traffic offerings (it's not of any use in all of Arizona right now except for Greater Phoenix and Tucson).

17, 18, 8 might be of use but I've never experienced them to see what I may be missing.

Everyone Prefers Something Different

The 3760LMT's best features for me are:

2: Lifetime map updates (A must for me!)
3: Speaks street names (A must for me!)
5: Lane assist (A must for me!)
6: Displays junction signs (They only appear on half the screen now. I don't rely on them, but just like having them appear when I am in an unfamiliar area. Lane Assist is the better feature for me.)
7: Bluetooth (This was a surprise! Use it all the time.)
10: Lifetime traffic (I don't live in an area where it is useful daily but enjoy when travelling.)
16: Fuel-efficient routing (ecoRoute) (Not useful at all! The routing choices are sometimes bad unless you have 4 wheel drive!)
18: Predicts your routes (myTrends) (I like this most of the time but sometimes want to shut it off.)
19: Multiple stop routing (Sorts multiple destinations) (Doesn't work as advertised on the 37xx series. Garmin says it is working on the problem, but no solution yet.)
20. Dual Orientation (Portrait or Landscape)
21. High Resolution of Screen in 37xx series (This is a really good feature for me.)
22. Instant Off/On Features of 37xx
23. Power Cord Plugs into Mount, Not into Unit (The usefulness of this feature was a surprise. I had no issue plugging and unplugging the cord in my old GPS. However, never again. Quicly and easily seat the GPS in the mount and it is on and ready to go. Fantastic!)
24. Themes (Change Map Display and Road Colors)
25. QWERTY Keyboard
26. "At the Pump" in ecoRoute (Monitors your fuel economy and fuel cost)

20. Waterproof

for me...

Ron

I would like all of them but

I would like all of them but then I wouldn't be able to afford it anyway. Do what I did and just get the ones you can afford. cool

All except
4 (no speech recognition software understands my "accent" - why should I then pay for that?)
8 (anything with google in it)
11 (a GPSr is not a music player or should not pretend to be one - becoming jack of all trades, master of none?)
15 (watching photos as I am driving? more like procuring one's death)

1: Wide, 4.3" screenWide

1: Wide, 4.3" screenWide
3: Speaks street names
20: Plenty of extra flash memory to accommodate growth in the size of future map updates.

Accuracy

I concur!!

Accurate ETA

Depending on how important it is to know your arrival time, you may want to consider the accuracy of the ETA from the start of your trip.

I make a lot of client visits, and it is important for me to give them a fairly accurate estimate, over a 300+ mile trip.

Looking at your list, I would say the important ones are 2, 3 (I think every unit does this by now), 17, and 14 would be nice in the event of an emergency.

#5 Lane Assist

--
nuvi 760, nuvi 765T, nuvi 855, nuvi 3790LMT, nuvi 3490LMT - SoCal area

1. Widescreen 2. Lifetime

1. Widescreen
2. Lifetime map updates
3. Speaks street names
5. Lane Assist
6. Junction View
Unlisted: cross streets in the banner bar when not navigating.
Speed Limit Indicator (not all models have it).

The other stuff is nifty, but not essential.

"Anyone who is capable of getting themselves made President should on no account be allowed to do the job." --Douglas Adams

Hmmmmm

1: Wide, 4.3" Widescreen <---Most important to me along with accuracy

5: Guides to proper lane (Lane assist)

12: Multi-touch glass display

19: Multiple stop routing (Sorts multiple destinations)

20: Anything I might have missed.. <---- Plenty of on-board memory for maps and it must allow the addition of POI's

(formerly known as condump) RV 770 LMT-S, Nuvi2797LMT, Nuvi765T

numbers

1, 2, 3, 5 & 14 are must haves
4, 7, 10, 13, 17 & 19 are nice to have, but not deal breakers.

The rest I have no use for.

Lifetime Maps

If I'm to choose one, I'd go with Lifetime Maps

All of the Above

Semper Fi....Hooooooooorah!!
all of the above except #11

--
WLF

Mine are

1, 3, 21, 19a, 5, 10 pretty much in that order
(19a = saved routes. Don't care about/want auto-reorder as long as I can manually reorder and save
21 = accuracy & maps accurate to within 6mo/1yr)

(edit- Oh yeah..speed limit as someone mentioned later)

It's about the Line- If a line can be drawn between the powers granted and the rights retained, it would seem to be the same thing, whether the latter be secured by declaring that they shall not be abridged, or that the former shall not be extended.

Features I like in order

1, 2, 3, 5, 19, 9, 6

Lane assist. Speed limit.

Lane assist. Speed limit. Two favorite things.

3 + 1

1: 5.0" Wide screen
3: Speaks street names
5: Guides to proper lane (Lane assist)
20: Anything I might have missed..Important: My 1490 achieves a satellite lock very quickly.

--
1490LMT 1450LMT 295w

In Order of Importance

A: These are based on features that I currently have, in my NUVI350.

3,2. I have the MP3 Player, but I only use it to give voice alerts, that I have made. Could also do with wav file.

B: What I would like to have, when the NUVI 350 dies or gets stolen.

19( I really wish I had Routing),2,4,1 (Nice to have bigger display, but 3.5" is working fine for me).
Comments: Mind you my comments are largely based on gut feeling, and comments from this forum.
6: My Trends:I understand that this flashes on the screen only briefly and doesn't cover all locations. There are enough distractions, without trying to focus on a picture of the signs.
17: If you drive a route often enough to predict trends, don't you already know how to get there? And then, how does it predict trends of roads that you don't use, but might want to. Gut feeling, it's seems neat, but limited value.
16: EcoRoute: When I go on a trip, i want to get there as quickly as possible. I'm not convinced that the fuel savings will be all that significant, if it takes a lot longer to get there.

--
DriveSmart 65, NUVI2555LMT, (NUVI350 is Now Retired)

My wish list

My big 4
1: Wide, 4.3" screenWide (or better)
5: Guides to proper lane (Lane assist, I use it constantly)
3: Speaks street names (for when you eyes are on the road)
2: Lifetime map updates

This would be nice but the traffic reporting is a little slow in my area.
10: Lifetime traffic

Never had to use this in an emergency but it should always be there in case there is one.
14: Find emergency help ("Where am I?" locator)

Never heard anything but complaints about this feature and how it routes, I would personally skip it or turn it off.
16: Fuel-efficient routing (ecoRoute)

Never had these 2 but at the very least #18 will hopefully be on my next unit.
17: Learns traffic trends (trafficTrends)
18: Predicts your routes (myTrends)

Good luck, hope you find what you want!
