convert a NT map to a NON NT map

I once read that you can convert a new NT map to the old version of NON NT maps. I have a non NT Garmin Streetpilot that has mothered at 2009 maps. Does anyone know how to convert the NT to NON NT maps so that I can upgrade my Streetpilot.

There is no known way to convert NT maps into non-NT maps. There is a program to convert NT maps so they function with an old version of MapSource, but that program does not convert a NT map into a non-NT version.
